New Savings.com insights identify what and when consumers should purchase in order to score the best prices and deals

In addition to the monthly data, the resource highlights expected retailer and seasonal sales. The data is based on proprietary research from 2009-2015, including more than 1.5 million deals from over 25,000 retailers.
According to the research, consumers should purchase the following items during the month of May:
- Designer Clothing: As retailers clear their inventory for summer, shoppers can find store-wide sales and coupons for up to 50 percent off
- Mattresses: Manufacturers release new models in June, making May the best month to buy a new mattress at a deep discount
- Small Household Appliances & Home Goods: In May, many retailers will start to reduce prices on household items as part of their Father’s Day and graduation sales
